Help Abby beat and treat cancer

We’re hoping to raise funds to help Abby have the surgeries she needs to beat this cancer diagnosis.

The private system is not a treatment path we chose lightly - but with the extensive waitlist in the public system, and a cancer that continues to spread rapidly, we have had to do whatever we can to get on the front foot.

Abby was first diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2021, whilst pregnant with our daughter. Mia then decided to join us prematurely at 27 weeks, and what followed was an almost 8 month hospital stay to treat her cerebral palsy, heart issues and growth deficiency. As difficult as this time was, Abby and Mia are fighters and inspire us all with their strength, resilience and positive outlook - despite all the challenges thrown their way.

Anyone who knows Abby, knows that she is an incredible woman - selfless, kind, and passionate in all that she does. She is a beloved mum, daughter, granddaughter, partner, and friend; and leaves a lasting impact on everyone she meets. Among everything else she does, Abby is also the primary carer for her dad. She balances this role, her fight against vaginal cancer, and commitment to her family with a smile on her face - a true testament to her character and unwavering love for those around her.

Abby gives every part of herself to those around her, and now it’s time that we ask others to help her in any way they can. We are desperate for support to fund the remainder of Abby’s treatment so she can continue to live the life she deserves.

Abby has had 15 surgeries in the past 12 months, and amazingly, has taken every setback in her stride. Given her cancer has continued to spread, we are now at a point where a GoFund Me page and support from the wider community is our only option to beat this horrible disease once and for all.

Abby has now been referred to a specialist clinician who deals with complex cancers, and will need to undergo radiation and a further 2 surgeries. This in itself is an exhausting, and financially, physically and emotionally stressful process - but we are hopeful that with your support, Abby can focus on her treatment and recovery, and we can finish this chapter in our lives.

We have spent an unfathomable amount of money to get to this point, and with the end so close, we can no longer manage this on our own. The initial cost for surgeries itself is quoted at $70,000 with other costs associated for regular appointments, tests and anything further needed so our initial goal is likely to change. We understand times are tough, but we would be eternally grateful for any donations you can spare to help Abby through this next, and hopefully the final stage of treatment.
