Help Zaher's Family Rebuild After Devastating Fire

My name is Andre Anderson and I am coordinating this GoFundMe on behalf of the Zaher Family due to the tragic set of events. Please see Abdullah Zaher's story below.

My name is Abdallah Zaher. On Easter Sunday, April 20th, 2025, at approx. 0200 hrs, I woke up to my house engulfed in flames, which unfortunately became one of the worst days of my life. I was sleeping at home with my younger brother and my father, only to be woken up by a bedroom full of black smoke. With no means of egress due to a house fire starting on the first floor, I had no choice but to take immediate action and break the 3rd-floor window and have my entire family jump from the 3rd-story window to escape this deadly fire.

I sustained a broken hand upon impact of the fall, bleeding from all over due to the shards of glass I jumped through. My younger brother sustained similar injuries. My 70-year-old father unfortunately wasn't as lucky. Upon impact, my father was unresponsive and was taken by EMS to the hospital where he succumbed to his wounds and smoke inhalation. I was the head of the household, taking care of my elderly father and brother. This tragedy has left me to deal with providing for my brother and planning funeral arrangements for my father, all while having no home to go back to.

I am a Service Member who swore and took an oath to serve and protect my country and community. I came to this country from Egypt to create a better life for me and my family. My younger brother is the only family I have left. I am asking all my friends, family, and to come together and please assist me with financial costs of burial back in Egypt and temporary housing.
