Help Abdul Rahman Rebuild his Family’s Life

Donation protected

Suddenly our lives stopped, our dreams were shattered, we lost everything we had, and we returned to square one again.

About myself:

Some of you may know me well. I am Abdul Rahman Abu Mutlaq, a member of the medical staff here in Gaza. I finished my university studies in July of 2022. I worked as a volunteer from the beginning of the war until this moment and have never left the hospitals, starting with Nasser Medical Complex. Then passing through the Gaza European Hospital in Rafah, in a complex displacement process that contains many memories of pain and suffering that no human being can imagine. We were living a decent life and striving to preserve our lives, achieve our dreams, and make a change in this world. Suddenly, our lives became ashes. Our only goal was to stay alive. We were displaced from our homes, slept in the street, and tasted hunger, thirst, and fear around the clock.

Displacement and its difficulties:

From the first day we had to leave our home, leaving behind many memories. This was not the first displacement, but we were displaced 5 times after that, and each displacement carried with it a lot of suffering and oppression. Believe me, I cannot describe this because of how horrific it is. Imagine leaving your home, which contains all your memories, and living in a tent and having missiles fall on you and burn your tent.

About my family:

My family consists of 9 members. During this war, my father lost his job, and after that we lost our home. My brother was captured for 57 days and was released from prison, suffering from several chronic diseases, and his psychological state was extremely bad due to the torture he was subjected to. My brothers, the children, lived through what no man's heart could bear. They would always run and cry in my arms when the bombing was near.

Destroyed home:

I saw our house and sat crying for long hours. It took 20 years to build this house. The warm house turned into nothing but a pile of stones in the blink of an eye. A campaign to preserve my family’s life and our future: After receiving many messages and the war continuing for 7 months, and after our situation worsened in Gaza, I decided to create a fundraising campaign to support my family and achieve my dreams.

This campaign aims to:

1. Rebuilding our house, which has become rubble  2. Completing my educational career and achieving my dream
3. Meeting my family's basic needs and preserving our lives.
