Help Abel Aidez Abel

Depuis novembre 2021, Abel a eu plusieurs visites à l'hôpital en raison de chocs anaphylactiques. Il est très malade depuis et les médecins ne sont pas en mesure de déterminer quoi que ce soit au niveau de ses allergies, car à chaque fois, la cause est différente.

 

 

Lorsqu'il a une réaction, c’est une urgence médicale, car il peut passer d'un état stable à une détresse respiratoire en quelques secondes.

 

Cela est très stressant et inquiétant pour la famille. Abel ne peut pas profiter d'une vie normale qu’un petit garçon de 4 ans devrait avoir.

 

Le 11 mai 2022, quand il était en direction de IWK  à Halifax en ambulance, Abel a eu 3 réactions très graves qui ont nécessité une intervention rapide des professionnels de la santé pour l'aider. Ils ont du l’empêcher de manger quoi que ce soit, car sa gorge se refermait à la moindre nourriture. Abel a donc été transporté par hélicoptère afin d’être en mesure d’intervenir plus rapidement.

 

Abel et sa maman, Ashley, sont maintenant à IWK et les spécialistes pensent qu'il a une maladie très rare qui nécessitera beaucoup de tests et de traitements jusqu'à ce qu’ils puissent obtenir des réponses définitives sur sa condition. Leur séjour à Halifax sera donc beaucoup plus long que prévu.

 

 

 

Since November 2021, Abel has had countless trips to the hospital because his body goes into anaphylactic shocks. He has been very sick and they are not able to pin point anything that he is allergic to because it changes every time.

 

When he has a reaction, it is a medical emergency as he can go from being okay to struggling to breathe in seconds.

 

This has been very stressful for the family as he cannot enjoy a normal 4 year old life that he so deserves.

 

While being transferred to the IWK by ambulance yesterday, Abel had 3 very severe reactions that took quick action of the medical professionals to help and ultimately results in Abel not being able to eat anything or his throat closes. They took the decision to transfer him in helicopter so he could get proper medical assistance faster.

 

Abel and Ashley, his mother, are now at the IWK in Halifax and the specialists are thinking he has a very rare disease that will take a lot of testing and treatment until we can get definitiveanswers on his condition. Their stay in Halifax is now a lot longer than expected.
