Help Abi & Rory Get Home Safe

We scrimped and saved for 5 years to take a once in a lifetime trip to South East Asia & Australia, We opted to have a low key wedding to focus on our trip, We arrived in Koh Tao Thailand on the 7th of July to celebrate our honeymoon after getting married in June, we had bought travel insurance & packed our bags. It started wonderfully, we enjoyed sunsets & the delicious food. That all changed on the 10th Of July when we planned a snorkel trip to the other side of the Island, We were told that the roads were safe & the scooter rentals are reliable, so with that we booked a scooter & helmets & headed on our way, all was going fine until a steep hill & brake failure changed everything. We ended up colliding  with a roadside barrier and being thrown from the bike! I was able to get up the hill, but Abis leg was badly cut and she couldn’t walk, after a rescue service hoisted her from the rocky hillside & ambulance we where transferred to Koh Samui. Where we are now, both beaten and bashed up. I needed surgery to repair 2 wounds on my head and a large cut on my knee with stiches , While Abi required surgery on her leg to repair the large laceration on her knee & two wounds on her head. It looks like our bills are going to hit at least £12000 if Abis surgery takes and remains infection free. We are still unaware if our insurance will cover it considering the nature of the accident & the Hospital we are in has our passports so we can’t leave until this is paid.




So where you come in, any money raised with this will help me & abi pay for our medical expenses & will assist us in making our way to the UK.
