Hi everyone. I woke up at 4am this morning to smoke filling my apartments. I woke my sister up and immediately had to jump off the 3rd floor balcony. We lost all of our belongings and living space. There was also no fire alarms going off in our apartment, and a lot of fire codes are not in code. We would have gotten out safer and with more time if we had fire alarms to alert us. There was also no fire extinguisher in the building and multiple residents have reported this. I woke up seconds before it was too late. We were able to get our dog Gus and one of our kitties , but we are unsure where One of them went during the fire. We also can’t find our cat we threw over the balcony. We are in shock and dealing with a lot, so anything helps! Thank you so much!
