Imagine being 10 years old, with your only goal each day being to find water, food, and a moment of peace amidst the chaos of war. This is Abood’s reality.

Hello, my name is Queralt, and I am reaching out on behalf of three incredible children—Abood, Rahaf, and Taleen. Their mother, a dear friend of mine, asked me to share their story with you in the hope of changing their lives for the better.

Rahaf is 13 years old, Abood is 10, and Taleen is just 7. Together, they live in a tent in Mawasi Khan Yunis, Gaza, enduring unimaginable challenges every single day. Despite their young age, these children have faced hardships most of us can’t begin to imagine.

Rahaf’s Plea for Help:

"I am Rahaf, 13 years old. I suffer from severe visual impairment and need to replace my glasses every two months. I also require an urgent operation outside the Gaza Strip, but there are no hospitals here that can help me. Please, help me leave Gaza to get the medical care I need."

Abood’s Words of Resilience:

"My name is Abood. My sisters Taleen and Rahaf and I live in a tent where the heat is unbearable, and insects bite us constantly. We don’t have access to clean water, so we walk long distances to find any water we can—even though it often makes us sick. At night, the sounds of missiles and explosions fill us with fear, keeping us awake. We desperately need to leave Gaza and reach Egypt to start a new life, but the travel costs are too high for us."
