Urgent: Transport home Obang’s late mum’s body
Donation protected
Sadly, Aboya passed away on 12/11/23, in a hospital in Nairobi, Kenya after readmission due to liver disease.
Abaya’s two adult children Obang and Ajulu were resettled from a refugee camp in Kenya by the government of Australia between 2016 and 2019. Aboya was left at the camp by herself.
Her son (Obang) had been trying to get his mother reunited with her family in Australia on a Humanitarian visa.
From Obang: “My mother asked that her body be taken back to her ancestral land. I have confirmed the costs of $6000 (as at 14/11/23) for the whole process. We need the funds in the next couple of days/weeks because there are ongoing daily charges for the mortuary in Nairobi. Thank you for any support you can give. Every bit counts.”
