Abraham's Recuperation
By now, many have already seen the horrific images that show our friend, son, and grandson Abraham Valdez left in critical condition after a vicious hit and run early Saturday morning.
Abe was doing what he always does, protecting his peers and the patrons at his job, Arena Grill and Lounge when an altercation spilled out into the parking lot, and eventually, the driver of a Lamborghini got in his vehicle, ran over Abe and took off.
Fighting for his life, Abe is currently at Ryder Trauma with a broken pelvis, broken and bruised ribs and internal bleeding. As of Sunday 3/14 morning, he is still in and out of surgery to repair his fractured pelvis and control the internal bleeding.
Most of you know him, but it’s worth repeating, Abraham is truly a selfless person who would give you the shirt off his back. He is a proud Brother of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. A gentle giant who commands a room, but is a softie at heart. He is his grandmother’s primary caregiver and is loved and needed by so many.
Once he is able to recuperate from these injuries, Abe will need rehabilitation to walk again. Let’s bound together to help this caring soul get back on his feet.
