Help Adam Be Able to See His Kids!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Maurina Brown and my family needs your help.
In 2018 my son Adam’s former wife ended their 16 year marriage. Devastated, he turned to a personal friend who is also a lawyer for help navigating the divorce proceedings. For over a year, Adam was seeing his kids regularly and was still able to be an active part of their lives. After a major mishandling of the case, the result was a default divorce and complete loss of custody of his four kids, aged 5 to 15. Suddenly, at the start of the pandemic, the default divorce was granted and he was immediately cut off from his children.
Despite his best efforts to have an amicable divorce and to reach an agreement that would allow for successful co-parenting, things became acrimonious.
Since the beginning of the separation he has been caring for the children and their mother by paying alimony, child support, and all court costs including her attorney fees. He has never failed to pay child support or alimony. While he has been financially supporting his kids, he has not been permitted to actually see his kids or be involved in their lives, in any way beyond monetarily.
As the situation stands, Adam is still actively engaged in navigating the court system and desperately seeking an arrangement that allows him to be a part of his kids' lives. Without expert legal aid, Adam cannot gain custody of his children. Now by court order, in order to see his kids at all Adam needs to hire a court mandated supervisor, a reunification therapist, personal counseling for himself and his children, and pay for a parental evaluation.
As a physician in a pandemic, Adam is very hard working and earns a good income - but even with help from family members, Adam is struggling under the costs of the mounting expenses necessary to be in his children's lives.

Divorce is often hardest on the kids. For all their lives up until this point, Adam has been a major guiding presence in his four children’s lives. He wants what is best for them and he wants to be present to contribute to their emotional health, physical safety and overall well being.
Adam is a kind, gentle man who has dedicated his life to the caring and healing of others in his professional and personal life. He is a devoted father who loves his children more than anything in the world. He is struggling under the massive financial burden of navigating the legal system and he is isolated from his family while working as a doctor during this pandemic.
If you are in a position to be able to help with a donation of any size, it would be greatly appreciated. A hundred percent of your contribution will go toward hiring a new attorney that can help Adam be able to see his kids.
