Greetings in this time of abundant change!

I would like to share with you an album of songs, to be vulnerable and offer some of the medicine that I have been cultivating over the last years as a balm, anchor point and guide during these times.

Some of you know that the gift of song for me is deeply entwined with ancestral trauma and healing: my Yorùbá family being colonized and forced to put a strong clamp down on the voice and my ayisyen family forcefully liberating theirs. That push and pull of the lineage lives in me in a strong way and has been a powerful force in my life, sharpening and honing me.

You may have heard me singing in ceremony, in my bodywork practice...or in the grocery store! These may be some of those songs - I am writing more in Yorùbá and kreyòl ayisyen as well.

I am reaching out for financial support: this money will go to the fees for recording a simple album, just me, guitar, drum, rattle, etc - as well as to provide a little bit of a financial buffer to ensure that I can take the time and space necessary to do this sacred work.

You all will be the first to receive the recordings once they are complete. Any income that is generated from this album will go towards deepening my spiritual practices and toward land reclamation in Yorùbáland.
