Help Adolfo Rivera following tragic shooting

Hello, I am Mary Rivera, daughter of Adolfo Rivera. Adolfo is a father to 6 individuals, the 2 youngest still residing with him. He is a dad, a husband, a grandfather, a godfather, a son, a brother, an uncle, and a loyal friend to many. He is also a hard worker, working as a security guard at Bonanza gift shop 8 hours a day, 6 days a week to make ends meet as the sole source of income of his household. In the evening on June 14th an individual attempted to steal merchandise from the gift shop. Upon attempted retrieval of the merchandise, Adolfo was shot in the back by the suspect. Thanks to the heroic actions of his colleague Juan Hernandez, the rest of the shots fired did not injure anyone else except for the suspect themself. Adolfo sustained critical injuries and was rushed to UMC for emergency surgery. Since then he has been doing as good as can be expected for someone in his condition. He has not been consistently stable but he is being monitored and taken care of by amazing nurses and doctors. It is apparent that his injuries will take a long time to heal. The Rivera family is reaching out to ask for help. He will not be able to work for a long time. We would like to ask for any help available, whether it be monetary or simply a prayer for Adolfo and family. The funds will go towards day to day living expenses for Adolfo’s household.
