Help Adrian & Anaya get their ceiling lift!

Hi, my name is Wendy. I am the mother of 3 beautiful children. Two of them have been diagnosed from an early age with Cerebral Palsy due to a rare genetic condition called Neuromuscular Disease Associated with GEMIN5. They both have brain damage in their Cerebellum causing motor function delays among other medical problems. Adrian & Anaya are both wheelchair-bound and require our assistance for everything. This includes bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, playing, and transferring. Since their birth, I have been a stay-at-home mother due to their many needs and appointments. My husband and I have strived over the years to make sure all of our children are happy and taken care of. He works countless hours to accomplish this. He is our sole provider. We do not receive any help for the kids other than their health insurance. We try very hard to never ask for any help, until now.

As the children have gotten bigger, we have found ourselves needing to make modifications to make their care safe and accessible. Adrian and Anaya need a ceiling lift to transfer them safely from their bedrooms to the bathroom and family area where their wheelchairs are stored. Since their condition is lifelong our best option is a permanent ceiling lift which will cost us $17,397. We have exhausted our funds and cannot apply for assistance because we applied for a wheelchair lift outside of our home.
