Adrian Payne’s Recovery Fund

Hello everyone, I’m starting a fundraising campaign to aid me in my hardship that unexpectedly fell on me in a matter of two weeks. 

Everything was going great. I was feeling fine. I was playing with my son. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Then life changed instantly. Sunshine turned into thunderstorms. Sweet turned to bitter.

I was hospitalized on November 2nd due to a rare infection that only affects 1.6 out of 100,000 men. The mortality rate is as high as 48 percent. I was on the brink of losing my life. During the eleven days of my hospitalization, I underwent three life-preserving surgeries. I had also lost my job, had to surrender my car, fell behind on monthly bills, and accrued a massive medical debt. I was devastated, to say the least. In the midst of my circumstances, I’m also finding it hard to afford my ten prescription drugs.

I’m thankful for my sister. She’s a nurse in profession and has helped me in tremendous ways. However, she is a mother of four children, and she cannot do this alone.
