Help Adriana with her medical costs

My name is Joseph and I’m raising funds to finance my mother’s hospice and funerary care. In 2016, Adriana Martinez (my mother) received a life saving surgery that replaced three of her heart valves that had, through a childhood disease, atrophied. These same valves are now in need of replacement, but as she is no longer an anesthetic candidate, she has opted for hospice care for her remaining time.

I am beyond lucky and blessed to have found a hospice boarding home close to where I currently live so that I’m able to visit her daily, but the costs have built up. My family is poor and has always been poor. My mother had few savings and they have been effectively all spent up in her care. In order to make the last of her life one that is dignified and comfortable, I am reaching out to you.

This whole ordeal has been overwhelming, personally and financially. While my sisters are able to contribute financially, it has fallen to me to bear the brunt of the care taking and decision making responsibilities. Any amount you can offer will be of great help.

All funds raised will be used to:

Cover the costs of boarding at her current facility

Purchase non-MediCal covered supplies

Pay for the funerary costs as requested by my mother
