Help Adrie Sustain Jamie's Health Needs

Anyone who knows Adrie has seen, in one form or another, her dedication to building community. Wherever she sets foot, she has her eyes on the prize–a world where we take care of each other. Right now, Adrie needs us, her community, to gather around her. She’s been carrying more than her load as a single parent for many years, and the past few have been particularly difficult. As you may know, her oldest child, Jamie, has multiple chronic and disabling health conditions that demand tremendous time and energy and require major lifestyle, dietary, and environmental investments.

As usual, Adrie is meeting these challenges with creativity, love, and grit, but recent financial/income/support changes and increased expenses related to Jamie’s diagnoses are a real pile-on. We want to help! There are and will continue to be ongoing financial needs, such as medical expenses not covered by insurance, travel to doctors appointments in Boston, the higher costs of the kinds of food that Jamie needs to stay healthy, and support for Adrie in making family life more sustainable in the long term. That sustainability is what we are hoping for our dear friend.

I like to imagine that any support I offer to Adrie gets funneled through her and into the universe as love, poetry, and community building. I’m pretty sure that is true.
