Help Adrienne after her accident

Meet Adrienne. She’s my dear sweet friend who nearly lost her life on November 3rd 2017 when a reckless and irresponsible driver crashed into her car. Adrienne was left with a totaled car and sustained injuries that have flipped her life upside down.
Witnesses that saw the accident reported the shitty driver going approximately 90mph in a 45mph zone. She was passing cars on a narrow one lane road and weaving in and out of traffic. As Adrienne began slowing for a car turning left the shitty driver went around the car behind Adrienne crashing into her at full speed.
The impact crumbled Adrienne’s car, smashing the whole back of her car up to the back seat and broke the back of the driver’s seat. As she was laying back on her broken seat, spinning in the road, her lap belt was all that held her in. She remembers pulling herself up by her steering wheel just in time to be hit again. After that second impact she lost consciousness. The second impact sent her glove box flying from the dash causing bruising and damage on her head and shoulder.
Adrienne now suffers brain damage. She had to relearn how to sign her own name and suffers daily. It was months before she had enough memory retention to read a full book. She couldn’t watch tv without feeling drained. She mostly just slept. She now has trouble remembering important things and struggles to find the right vocabulary in conversations.
After the accident she reported to the paramedics that her legs felt like they were on fire. The very seatbelt that saved her life also shirred the skin and fat layers from the muscle on her thighs in the process. Her legs will never be the same again. She suffers severe nerve damage and discomfort. Adrienne needed surgery on her right thigh, and may still need it on the left. She had a massive 8 inch incision on her top right thigh that was about an inch and a half deep. They staples the incision closed and tufted the tissue back in place with stitches. She had a drainage tube as well as a vacuum to keep the incision sealed with suction in hopes of the tissue healing to the muscle fascia underneath.
Needless to say, she lost her job with Sprint. They said she used all of her FMLA time and threatened to terminate her if she didn’t return, despite her doctor's insistence that she was still unable to work. Upon her return, they were very clear they expected her to be 100% despite her cognitive issues and battling constant pain. When she was unable to perform her job with her brain injury, she was forced to resign.
Anyone that knows Adrienne knows she’s an amazing person. She’s a great friend, a great mother to Emily, and she’s a fighter. She’s smart, she’s a hard worker, and best of all just an all around incredibly awesome person. As anyone would be in her shoes, she suffers depression. Her whole world was flipped upside down all because some jackass was too careless to follow the rules of the road. So here Adrienne is, without an income, racking up a crap ton of medical bills, and will most likely always have issues with her legs and cognitive abilities. She’s always the first person to help others and I hope that people can now help her when she needs it most.
I’m sure any amount would be greatly appreciated while she waits and hopes her disability is approved and while she waits years for this whole accident/insurance ordeal to pan out. She’s struggling. If you cannot donate money at this time then I ask of you to reach out to her and show her that you care in other ways. Pay her a visit, drop by with coffee or a meal, send her a card showing your love and support during this difficult time, and SHARE THIS CAMPAIGN. Just sharing helps a ton!
