Help Affie Abrishamian Beat Cancer

If you are reading this then your life has most likely been touched by the incredible compassion, selflessness, kindness, and wisdom of Dr. Nicolas Abrishamian. Dr. Abrishamian is truly dedicated to his family and patients and is always there for everyone during their time of need.
Now it is our chance to be by his side during a difficult time to help him and his family. His dear sister, Affie, needs our immediate help. Many of you have had the great privilege of meeting Affie in Dr. Abrishamian’s office. She always greets you with a genuine, warm smile and she has a heart of gold. Affie puts others before herself and has never wanted to burden anyone. Unfortunately, on Friday, June 18th, Affie was admitted to Hackettstown Hospital after being found unresponsive. After further testing, it was discovered that she has a large, aggressive malignant tumor in her lower intestines that has metastasized to her liver, lungs and spine. Affie is currently in good spirits and in stable condition in the hospital awaiting further testing.
Affie’s diagnosis has come as a shock to her family and friends and she is in dire need of financial support to help her through this journey. Affie was significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic because she was supposed to have a colonoscopy done in March 2020 but it was cancelled because of the lockdown in New Jersey. When elective procedures were again allowed in November of 2020 she called her doctor’s office to reschedule but they were inundated with appointments and couldn’t get her in until February of 2021. At that time, Affie decided not to involve her brother because she didn’t want to burden or stress her family – a true testament to who she is as a person! Unfortunately by this time her disease significantly progressed to stage 4. Furthermore, before the COVID-19 pandemic she was let go from her teaching job just before she was going to be tenured and currently is unemployed with no insurance. She is ready to fight but really needs our help with medicals expenses and any other financial needs during this journey.
