Help Our Affordable Housing Residents Recover After Hurricane Helene

N.O.A.H. (Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing) Property Management is calling on our Greenville community to come together and support those in need.

Hurricane Helene has devastated many of the affordable housing properties we manage right here in Greenville, SC. Hundreds of our residents, who rely on affordable housing, are now without power, unable to go to work, and struggling to meet their most basic needs. Our team at NOAH Property Management has been on the ground, working tirelessly to clear debris, repair damages, and provide essential support to these residents, but we need the community’s help.

Our affordable housing residents are facing significant challenges. Many cannot charge their phones, keep vital medical equipment like oxygen tanks running, or even communicate with loved ones without power. On top of this, being out of work because of the storm has made it incredibly difficult for them to cover daily expenses, including rent.

We’re asking for your support to help us provide:

1. Replenishment of Essential Goods
  • Restocking Refrigerators: Assistance to purchase groceries and perishable items lost due to extended power outages.
  • Home Essentials: Support for replacing spoiled food, cleaning supplies, bedding, and household items damaged or discarded during the storm.
2. Financial Recovery Support
  • Lost Income Relief: Compensation for individuals unable to work during or after the hurricane due to business closures or job loss.
  • Temporary Rent Relief: Continued support for displaced residents who are still facing financial difficulties as they rebuild.
  • Debt Relief Assistance: Support in negotiating or covering overdue bills (utilities, rent, mortgages) that accumulated during recovery.
3. Housing and Home Repairs
  • Apartment Repair Funding: Support for affordable housing complexes who need assistance with repairs to roofs, walls, windows, and flooring to restore safe living conditions.
  • Mold Remediation and Water Damage Repair: Assistance with the cost of cleaning and repairing apartment units affected by floodwaters or storm damage.
  • Temporary Housing Aid: Ongoing support for those who still cannot return to their apartment units and need temporary housing solutions.

Our goal is to ensure that not one of our over 3,000 residents is left behind, especially those in our affordable housing communities. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most and help our community rebuild.
