Help needed after Motocross Accident

Donation protected
We are asking for help for our daughter, her husband, Robert, and their two young sons - the Miller Family.

Saturday, February 3rd started out with great excitement and anticipation as a day at their favorite dirt bike track. However, ended abruptly with a trip to Orange Park Hospital, in Trauma 2. Robert (the family’s bread winner and financial support) cross rutted on a jump and ended up going down hard. Robert was quickly admitted to the ER.
After 11 hours in the ER it was determined that he had broken his right clavicle, split down the middle and his scapula. On his right side, the first 2 ribs, in the front, are broken. And ribs 3-5, are broken in the front, back and interior. His lung is currently detached and dropped being slightly collapsed. As The Miller Family navigates the next 6/8/12 weeks, we ask for prayers for healing for Robert, and prayers for the family as they confront the mountainous financial stressors they are facing! Needless to say, daunting medical bills have only begun to mount pressuring this young family. Financial donations are desperately needed.

It had been a monumental day, as it was Hudson’s first day on the track on his own! Finley was riding SO SO well and Hudson was conquering his fears (which they were shocked to learn he even had to begin with- haha!) They were accompanied by their besties and had a day full of riding in their future…

Being that life is full of Murphy’s Law, the Miller family had recently had to forgo marketplace insurance for their family because it wasn’t affordable and his job doesn’t provide needed medical insurance benefits. Robert is an autobody technician and being that the whole upper part of his right side is broken he is unable to work until he is fully healed.
The surgeon predicted that the full healing process would take anywhere from 8 – 12 weeks, being that both the clavicle and scapula are broken. Plate fixation for the clavicle fracture is something that will be further discussed during Robert’s follow up in two weeks.
There was a meeting between Robert and his employer where they told him that they would hold Robert’s job until he is fully healed, but as a business owner, they had to hire someone to fill his current position. Robert works on commission so the Miller Family is without his income until he is able to return to work in 8 – 12 weeks. Kelleen is a per diem substitute teacher and has increased her work schedule as often as she is able, but due to the low pay which is not on par with Robert’s they are barely scraping by.

Any donations to the Miller Family will go towards their mortgage and monthly bills while Robert is recovering. Anything left will be put towards the astronomical medical bills they are faced with, after a day in the ER, admittance to the Trauma floor, imaging fees, doctor fees, and doctor visits to come. We’ll update everyone once surgery is scheduled.

Again, as they navigate the next 6/8/12 weeks, we ask for prayers for healing for Robert, and prayers for their family as they confront the financial stressors they are sure to face!

At the end of the day, they are blessed with the very best friends and family who have helped them in ways we could only pray for!!
