Help Afu Fiefia Overcome Cancer's Return
Donation protected
Afu Fiefia, an extraordinary 18-year-old with a heart full of kindness and an unmatched work ethic, is facing the unimaginable: the return of cancer. Just as he celebrated the end of a remarkable football season, the devastating news arrived. Afu’s strength and determination have carried him through so much, and now he and his family need our support more than ever.
Diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma at 14, Afu’s primary tumor began in his left leg (tibia), scans revealed it had spread to his lungs, pelvis, abdomen, and lymph nodes and given only a 15% chance of survival beyond 5 years. He underwent 14 rounds of chemotherapy and 43 radiation treatments on various parts of his body. After a brief remission, the cancer relapsed, and Afu underwent 6 more months of treatment before returning to remission.
Since March 2023, Afu has returned to what he loves most: Football. At Farmington High School, he started both sides of the ball at wide receiver and cornerback, helping his team win part of the 6A Region 1 Championship. He was named to the All-Region 1st Team and honored with “The True Phoenix Award” at the team banquet that embodies the foundation of what Farmington football is built on.
On December 11, 2024, Afu’s family learned that the cancer had returned with a large tumor in his abdomen and a couple of nodules in his lungs.
From the start, Afu’s family has combined homeopathic treatments with modern medicine, allowing him to live life fully up to this point.
The financial strain of this battle is overwhelming, and we can help ease that burden. Please consider donating to Afu’s GoFundMe to allow his parents to focus on what truly matters—fighting for their son’s life. Every dollar brings hope and relief to a family that has given so much to their community. Let’s rally together for Afu, a young man who continues to inspire all who know him.
