Help Ahkeel Through His Medical Studies
Hello, my name is Ahkeel Townsend! I am presently enrolled at the University of Miami, set to begin Junior year this Fall, and studying to be an Orthodontist. Like many other students in my position, I am currently responsible for rent and utilities, tuition, and books, among other things. Thus far, I’ve been able to find balance between school, work, and finances. However, as I delve deeper into medical school and my coursework becomes more stringent, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to juggle all the array of responsibilities I have on my plate. I am now at the point where I’ve decided that the best course of action to help me financially is to undertake an EMT course, specifically the one offered by The American Medical Academy. Essentially, taking this course will allow me to become a certified EMT, and as a certified EMT, I will likely be able to work less days a week (cutting my 5 day workweek to 3 days) and use my salary to better pay my way through my undergraduate education, and soon thereafter, medical school.
Therefore, I am now fundraising to gather funds not only to enroll for the EMT program, or simply for this upcoming semester, but for the continuance of my education throughout medical school.
By contributing to this fund, you are helping me remove the biggest obstacle on my path to continued education. As I embark on my third year of undergraduate education, your donations will allow my years of hard work thus far to continue to compile into an incredible jumpstart and foundation for life.
I appreciate any bit of help you can afford, thanks!
