Help Ahmad evacuate Gaza and continue his studies

Story:

Ahmad Abu Ward, a bright and determined 16-year-old student from Gaza, is facing an urgent need for support. Amidst the backdrop of conflict in Gaza, Ahmad's family home was destroyed, turning their lives upside down. Despite these challenges, Ahmad has been offered a life-changing opportunity to continue his education in the United States at Haas Hall Academy.

Who is Ahmad?

Ahmad is not only a student but also a dedicated volunteer and a Gaza representative for The Earth Prize competition in Geneva. His passion for learning and contributing to his community shines through his activities, even in the face of adversity. Now, Ahmad has the chance to study at Haas Hall Academy in Arkansas, USA, opening doors to new possibilities and a brighter future.

Ahmad's Current Situation:

The ongoing conflict in Gaza has left Ahmad's family homeless, with their house reduced to rubble. In the Gaza strip, there is a tremendous threat of starvation, dehydration, disease, and being bombed from the ongoing conflict. The financial strain of this catastrophe has been immense, making it challenging for Ahmad to seize the opportunity to study abroad. With limited resources and increasing expenses, the family is in dire need of support to help Ahmad transition to a safer environment where he can pursue his educational goals.

Who am I?

I am Nathanael Schager, a former teacher of Ahmad during his time at YouthCode Gaza. I have witnessed the resilience and determination of Ahmad firsthand and am committed to helping him achieve his dreams of a better future through education. He is a bright, determined, and passionate student with a bright future; by supporting this campaign, you can help with his future and keep his family's hope alive.

Our Goal:

We aim to raise $30,000 to cover Ahmad's evacuation from Gaza, his stay in Cairo, airfare to the USA, and initial living expenses, including accommodation, school books, and other necessities. This support will not only provide Ahmad with safe passage but also enable him to continue his education and contribute positively to society.

The Academy Ahmad will be attending in the U.S.

Cost Breakdown:

Evacuation and travel expenses: $7,000 (including coordination fees and travel within Egypt)

Airplane ticket: $1,000

Living expenses in the USA (accommodation, food, books, etc.): $22,000
