Help the Ahmed and Aboud family escape from Gaza
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sally and I am from the South East of England.
I am helping a Palestinian family whose lives have been devastated due to the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Many families do not have access to Go Fund Me outside Palestine to assist them in creating an account. Therefore, I am volunteering on their behalf.
Ahmed is a talented 24-year-old photographer who has been displaced from the far north of Gaza to the far south due to the continuous Israeli bombardment. He studied photography and aspired to capture the most beautiful places in the world.
They are now all living in a tent in Rafah after the occupation destroyed the family's house, Ibrahim's house, and Ahmed's house. The occupation robbed them of their warm home and livelihood. They have no income now, only the clothes on their backs.
I urgently appeal for assistance in raising funds to support Ahmed and his family during this very difficult time.
I have been speaking with Ahmed for a while now and I know every small contribution means a lot to them - just like us, they have dreams and aspirations and a future that has been severely threatened. Ahmed is a kind and generous man who records videos of himself helping and uplifting others.
Since the attacks started in Rafah, Ahmed and his family have moved to a tent by the roadside, without shelter or basic necessities.
Please help them experience generosity, kindness and hope during this very difficult time.
Please read Ahmed's story in his own words:
The ongoing horrific genocide in Gaza has not provided any safe haven for our family in Gaza whatsoever. Ten-year-old Aboud, suffering from chronic type 1 diabetes, was afflicted due to fear from the savage and violent bombardments and airstrikes on us in the 2021 war. Since then, he has been receiving treatment.

Unfortunately, at the start of the war, the occupation prevented insulin injections from entering Gaza. The hospital providing treatment for chronic patients was bombed, and Aboud's house was also hit, shattering all his dreams.
Aboud currently needs a treatment journey and must travel as soon as possible to safety to receive treatment.
After more than 240 days without treatment, Aboud suffered from a severe blood acidity attack and lost consciousness for 10 days. He was forced to stay in the European Hospital's intensive care unit due to the critical condition of his health. He needs to live a healthy life like any child in the world. He has dreams and aspirations he hopes to achieve. He has lost all his possessions from toys to his most precious belongings, even the blessing of security was taken from him. He appeals for the urgent need to travel. Your support can make a significant difference in his struggle for health.

Imagine dying once from bombing, and thousands of times from illness every moment...
We want to stay alive as a complete family without losing any member or having any of them injured due to the war.

The need to leave Gaza has become a matter of life or death, and now our lives are increasingly at risk day by day with the threat of the occupation entering the area we fled to.

After more than 240 days of war, we also lost our source of income. I, Aboud's brother, was striving to become one of the world's greatest photographers, but the occupation prevented me from achieving my dream. I lost all my photography equipment, which I considered as my own children. Unfortunately, my source of income, which the family relied on, has stopped.
Now we have lost our home, our source of livelihood, and our dreams have been shattered. We have nothing but the clothes on our backs. Ten-year-old Aboud has been forced to flee 10 times, and each time they miraculously escaped death. Their lives have been miserable after losing all their belongings and memories.

- His parents
- Hanin, the eldest sister, her husband, and their two daughters (Eileen, 6 years old, and Tina, 1.5 years old): Their home was completely demolished, depriving the children of their education.
- Ibrahim and his wife Hadeel, who had a child during the war, named Ammar after their proud parents. Their home was completely destroyed, and they currently live in a tent lacking even the most basic necessities.
- Ahmed (24 years old): My life shattered after losing my job. I was preparing for marriage and searching for a bride, but my home, which I worked hard for, was demolished.
- Noor (22 years old): She was studying to become a successful business entrepreneur in marketing, but now she can't continue her life after losing her laptop and all her creative tools.
- Mohamed (20 years old): This year was crucial for him as he was halfway through his software engineering education, but all his books were lost in our destroyed home. He dreams of leaving Gaza to continue his educational journey.
- Majed (16 years old): Sad to leave his education, but proud of him because he is still struggling to survive in the toughest war he has ever experienced.
- Aboud (10 years old): Unable to complete his education, his diabetes has been a major obstacle in his life. He is very sad about his deteriorating health and hopes for your help in his treatment and travel as soon as possible through your donations and support to spread his voice to the world.
Family address before displacement: Northern Gaza Strip - Beit Lahia City
Current displacement address: Rafah
Aboud's message to the world: "All I wish for is not to lose anyone from my family to genocide, as I lost my home, my school, and now my health, which depends on you."
We are launching an urgent fundraising campaign to help Aboud and his family complete the necessary paperwork so they can cross the Rafah border; ensuring a safe passage to Egypt. To exit Gaza through the Rafah border, we now need to urgently secure the following funds:
1. $7000 USD per family member for Egyptian intermediaries.
2. $3000 USD life-saving assistance to help them settle in Egypt.
3. 2.9% for GoFundMe-related fees
1. Please donate whatever you can. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference.
2. Please share this campaign with everyone you know and encourage them to donate.
Let's do everything we can to save them. Time is of the essence to rescue this beautiful family trapped in the grip of genocide.
If the war ends, the money will be used to rebuild their homes destroyed by the occupation. We hope to save Aboud as soon as possible.
