Help Ahmed rebuild his life, his home and his bakery shop

The aforementioned Bassam Ahmed Qannan, born in 1963, residing in Palestine from the Gaza Strip, since my childhood since the age of 14 I have devoted my life to taking care of 5 people (my brothers) due to the loss of my father, when my brothers became adults and took care of themselves I got married and had 4 boys and 4 girls, I worked hard day and night in freelance work to make a decent life for my family, I educated all my children until they reached their university journey and obtained their degrees, and all of this was from the blood of my heart so that they could obtain the least of our possibilities for life in the Gaza Strip. At a later age God honored me with an official job at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, and my life began to flourish and be luxurious with my children, I built a 4-storey house and our life was beautiful and humane full of passion, life and love, and after retirement from work I built a local bakery to open a door of livelihood for my children.

This war forced us to flee several times to different places between Rafah, Khan Younis and also Mawasi Khan Younis, and that was under fire and heavy shelling, and currently we are in a tent with intense heat. Through this destruction, the house that took more than 20 years to prepare was destroyed, and the house of my eldest son was destroyed, and my children are now between the ages of 27 and 29 without marriage, and also our livelihood, which is the bakery, was destroyed by the Israeli occupation, which all equals more than 120 thousand dollars, and we became homeless, without work, and without a decent and clean living because we only live in the Gaza Strip as if we do not deserve life due to the lack of our basic needs of food, drink, shelter, and also cooking gas and our simple means of living.

On the other hand, we suffered human losses of more than 50 people from my family, including 30 children and 10 women. Apart from that, my wife suffers from diseases of excessive secretions in the brain and nerves, and she underwent operations in Egypt, which requires special health care. I also have 3 grandchildren who suffer from malnutrition due to polluted water and food scarcity. They also suffer from psychological disorders linked to fear due to the heavy bombing, hearing the sound of explosions and scenes that the heart cannot bear. Secondly, they suffer from contagious skin diseases.

This required amount will be spent on rebuilding my house which cost me more than $60,000, my bakery which cost me more than $30,000, and household expenses, children’s clothing, bakery equipment and home furniture.

We now need help from the good people, the people of humanity and generosity to restore a part of our decent life that we lost due to the injustice of the Israeli occupation.
