Help Aid and Re-settle Displaced Black Foreigners
Donation protected
Black Foreigners Ukraine (BFU) is a coalition of volunteers dedicated to providing food, temporary housing, transportation, connection to legal aid, and much more to black and brown students/people trapped or fleeing the war in Ukraine.
Since the war started in Ukraine, Black and brown students/people have faced violent racism, attacks, and segregation, while dealing with the atrocities of war firsthand. Most Black foreigners fleeing Ukraine are African students who traveled to Ukraine to study medicine, engineering, fine arts, and various sciences.
These students are foreigners in Europe, where, unfortunately, many obstacles do not allow them to access the same resources as those who may have European citizenship.
The intersection of their identities has made them especially vulnerable and generally unseen when it comes to the focus of humanitarian efforts to help those facing war in Ukraine.
Our mission at BFU is to support, bring aid, and amplify the voices of Black people who are trying to survive the effects of this war. We speak with them daily to send them funds, book housing, pay for transportation, food, medicine, and to connect them with legal and mental health professionals.
We have set up this Gofundme to raise funds to continue providing aid and support to Black people in Ukraine and black people who have fled Ukraine.
Your donations will go a long way. We thank you in advance for your support.
