Help Aidan Achieve His Eagle Scout Dream

Hi, as most of you know our son Aidan has been in the Scouts since the 1st grade. He has worked long and hard to reach his final goal, which is to achieve the highest honor in the Scouts. Earning the title of Eagle Scout. We could not be prouder!! 

All funds raised are solely for his Eagle Scout Project and all monies are to benefit The Project Beneficiary. The Environmental Center at 109 Lord Stirling Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ.

Project description: Multiple Project Proposal: Environmental Center Habitat Restoration & Expansion Environmental Center

Background: The Environmental Center is a branch of trails and paths that is made to get a good view on nature and explore far through Nature to the Great Swamp. The main building the Visitors Center where my project will be held is filled with information on Nature and Wildlife that is provided for anyone who wants to learn. I felt like this is a perfect place to conduct my Eagle Project as I know it is a center for learning and it makes me excited knowing I can be a part of that, and help people be more informed on the Environement. As well as improve the looks and features. Environmental Center Decomposition Box: The Environmental Center has a Decomposition box which contains several items that decompose over time each in a separate panel covered under Chicken Wire. I am going to renovate the box by giving it all new materials to decompose and changing the wood that the box is made from into new pressure treated lumber, also there will be new Chicken Wire added. I will be refurbishing the names plates. I am also relocating it across the boardwalk to the other side. The decomposition box is approximately 4’ x 5’ and 8’’ deep. Planter Boxes: In the Environmental Center there is a Gazebo in the visitor section. There I plan to build 6 planter boxes for flowers to go in. Under the Gazebo there are 3 benches, I am going to place a planter box on each side of all the benches. They are going to be medium sized boxes 24” high each. I will also be staining them to match to the existing Gazebo. Trellis: I am also planning to build Trellis. Once I finish it, I am going to place it along the Environmental Centers walkway.
