HELP AIDEN AND KRISTINA KEEP THEIR HOME!!!

Hello! My name, as some of you may already know, is Kristina. I share my life with my amazing twelve year old son named Aiden. Aiden is an absolute character. His happiness and expressive joy are almost as boundless as the kindness in his heart. He's such a wonderful kid who wants nothing but the best for all of his friends and family. As his mother I want the same for him. He deserves love, happiness, security, stability. These are the things I strive to provide for him.
My husband (Aiden's father) and I, separated in 2021. I was able to remain in our home with Aiden, which we have rented since 2015. I became responsible for handling all the household bills that had previously been shared between two incomes, on my own. I've always worked hard, saved and managed to balance all of our household expenses. Unfortunately, life has a funny way of pulling the rug out from under you and truly testing your faith and resilience. In March of 2022 I lost my job of the previous 10 years when the entire facility I worked in was shut down. I was able to find work and maintain the household costs until I lost a new job mid April of 2023. My unemployment had been previously exhausted, and I had no income flow during this round of job hunting. I was thankfully able to find a new job that I have just started. The unfortunate part of this story is that, in the time it took me to find a new job, I was unable to keep up with our rent or utilities.
I am now in a situation where I am facing eviction if I do not come up with the previous two months of missed rent, as well as the two upcoming months due by August 1st. In addition, I also have to catch back up on my utility bills. I have a lot on my plate at the moment, most days it feels nearly impossible but I'm not one to give up. I am willing to continue working hard and trying anything and everything to maintain the household that my son is depending on.
Aiden is autistic, so he thrives off of consistency and routine. It scares me to think of the backslide his progress may take in the event we lose our home of the last eight years. On top of everything else, we may be faced with changing school districts if we have to relocate. I worked incredibly hard and advocated heavily for my son to be placed in a school that would best suit his needs. If we move out of district the whole process starts over again. Processes like these take time, and in that time there's really no saying how badly Aiden's progress will be affected.
Another unfortunate condition of losing our home, is we would likely have to rehome our two dogs. We have a pit (Ellie), and a dachshund/bichon mix (Harry). They are Aiden's best friends. They are such sweet loving dogs and it would be just another devastating blow if they could no longer be in our lives.
If we lose our home, our whole lives will be upended in more ways than one. I am hoping to prevent this by humbling myself and realizing when I need to ask for help. I ask you, friends and family if you are able to help me raise the funds to pay my due rent by August 1st so that my son and I can stay in our home. Even if it's a single dollar, that's one dollar more than what I have now, and every dollar helps. If you don't find yourself in a position to help financially, I'd also appreciate if you shared and sent us some good energy and positive thoughts. We could really use them right about now. I truly do appreciate any one who took the time to read our story. Thank you.
