Help Airen with Medical Expenses!

Hi, my name is Taylor and I’m fundraising on behalf of Lynel Airen Sushereba. Airen is my best friend, but she’s also a wonderful human who has been fighting for her life for the last few years. As a single mom to a beautiful teenage daughter, not to mention two fur babies, Spuds and Bunny—Airen was already struggling to pay her bills while working full-time for the state, before she got really sick.

Last year in November, Airen had a large cancerous tumor removed from her intestine, which caused her to be out of work for almost four months. This used up all of her leave from work, so since April, every doctor’s appointment or sick day has been unpaid.

This year, Airen is struggling with a second bout with breast cancer. This time, she is single and still has to navigate getting a double mastectomy.

This week, Airen was hospitalized. During the procedure, doctors cut the back of her throat with the camera from a scope, and it developed an infection. When Airen went to the ER, she had not been able to eat or drink anything for 6 days. While there, the doctors ran a bunch of labs and gave her antibiotics. Airen’s body is not responding to the antibiotics and the doctors still don’t know why. She’s stable for now, but not getting better.

Today, after being in the hospital for 5 days, Airen’s insurance ran out since she still has no real diagnosis. Unable to pay out of pocket, she is being forced to go home from the hospital prematurely, to follow up with specialists outside the hospital.

Right now, Airen has a lot of worries, but most of all that she will lose her house. After a few rough years, Airen finally bought her own home last year. This year, her property taxes and homeowners insurance have both increased unexpectedly and could force her into foreclosure.

Airen is fighting for her survival right now and it has put her in a bad spot financially, so please donate anything you can to help her. She is the kind of person who would do anything for others, and has helped so many people in her life. This horrible illness has placed a drain on her body, her finances, and her life—it has been a strain for years and she has finally reached out for help.
