Help Aiysha Fight Stage 4 Cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
In July, 2022, my world turned upside down. My beautiful and courageous mother, Aiysha, was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer that had invaded her lymph nodes. Shortly after the initial diagnosis, she learned that cancer had already metastasized, reaching her chest wall that impacted her heart, as well as her spine, spleen and into her bones. At first, we were told that Stage 1 was, in fact, Stage 4!
This has been a devastating blow and completely life-altering. Unfortunately, surgery and Chemo are not options to get rid of her type of cancer, so the only option (as of right now) is radiation treatment and medication to help ease her pain. The doctors told her the cancer is not curable but it is treatable. However, she will have to maintain treatments for the rest of her life.
This September, Aiysha will undergo surgery to remove her uterus to slow the progression of the cancer spreading - but it will not stop it. Her family lives across the country and will have to fly out to help her during her recovery. She wanted to be here with us, but when the type and stage of cancer were realized, the doctor advised it was spreading too fast, and she was in danger of it causing more damage to her spine.
Those who know my mother know she is the beautiful and giving spirit of light that brightens our darkest days. Her smile, her joy and laughter is her (and often our) strength, and that is being returned with an overwhelming abundance of love from her family and friends. She is a rare soul who has given joy to many through her community work, acting and singing career, which now has transitioned into writing and publishing children's books, teaching, painting, and doll making.
Aiysha lives alone in the state of GA with no assistance, and as everyone offers their continued support, it would be best to have a designated place for all of her supporters to assist. This will minimize any potential impact on Aiysha and ensure she will have the best possible care.
I humbly ask for you to help Aiysha win this fight! Monetary donations will help cover Aiysha’s tremendous expenses (hospital bills, medical expenses, cost of living etc.) that will be incurred, especially since Aiysha will be unable to work during this time. Any amount will be greatly appreciated because we also understand that times are financially challenging, so if you cannot give, please help us spread the word. We will be updating this page periodically as Aiysha continues her battle.
Thank you so much in advance for all of your prayers and generosity. Much love to you all, and God bless.
Love Azora
