Help Al get back on his feet after heart surgery

Hi everyone,

My name is Michael Peters, and I'm creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my father, Alban Peters.

Many of you may know my dad as a hardworking, self-made business owner. You may have seen him around, putting in work at shops across the Maritimes or playing guitar at the local Legion.

In the early hours of May 6th, 2024, my dad had a heart attack and was taken to Prince County Hospital via ambulance. After running tests and monitoring his condition, he was later sent to Saint John for a dye test, where they found multiple blockages in his heart and told us that he would need open heart surgery.

He had his surgery on May 16th and is now recovering at Saint John Regional Hospital. All went well, but a long road to recovery lies ahead. My dad owns his own business, travels near and far for his clients, and works on his feet all day. As the only employee of his company, this is a significant financial setback.

This life-changing procedure may put him out of work indefinitely, as he is already 72 and going back to work will pose a significant risk to his health. I have set up this fundraiser to help him adjust to his new life in hopes of adding some comfort and easing financial stress during this unfortunate time.

Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. My dad is the most honest, hardworking man with the biggest heart, and we want to ensure he is well taken care of like he takes care of us.
