Help Al Mack

Hi, my name is Michelle and I am Al's sister. I'm posting this on his behalf. Al was injured in a car crash after a medical episode on Monday night August 21, 2023. His truck is totalled and he has been in the hospital since the crash. We are not sure if all his medical bills and expenses will be covered. Al gave 25+ years of his life to the community of Passaic, NJ as a Police Officer.

Al suffered a cervical spine fracture and contusion, a tear in his aortic valve, and cuts and abrasions to his head and face. He was immediately paralyzed and had to be cut out of the truck by the Passaic Fire Department. Thankfully, he has regained the use of his legs and is slowly regaining use of his arms and hands. Through medical care and rehabilitation we hope that Al will make a full recovery.

Al is very worried about the mounting bills for all his care up to this point and possible future care. He is still in a C-spine collar and may remain in it for the near future. He is hoping that insurance will come through and cover most of not all but he will still have co-pays and deductibles. Anything helps and Al appreciates everyone. He may be grumpy but he would be there for you if you needed.
