Help Alaa "Uncle Alloush" and Family Find Peace and Safety

I am the Palestinian clown, Alaa Khudr Miqdad, also known as "Uncle Alloush." I was born in 1983, married to Zainab Al-Dayeh, and I have two children: Eline Miqdad, who is 10 years old, and Muhammad Miqdad, who is 6 months old. My family consists of my parents and five sisters.

When the war in Gaza broke out, destruction was everywhere. I tried to stay strong in my home, but after 45 days of resilience in my neighborhood, surrounded by my family and neighbors, our area was destroyed, and our homes were demolished. We fled through the smoke, rubble, and devastation to the center of Gaza (Al-Shifa Complex), but we didn't know that the bombing and destruction would continue there as well. Suddenly, the bombing resumed at Al-Shifa Complex, so my family and I fled from Gaza to the south of the Gaza Strip (Rafah City). We sought refuge in a school east of Rafah City. We sat in a classroom, comforting each other, with our hearts full of sorrow. Despite this, we found joy when my wife gave birth to our son, Muhammad, whom we had waited for 10 years.

However, after five months of resilience and the war continuing, Rafah City was suddenly bombed and destroyed. We fled from the south of the Gaza Strip to the center of the Gaza Strip. Now, we are living in a shelter tent on the beach of Al-Nuseirat City, praying for the end of the war and destruction.

عندما اندلعت الحرب في غزة، كان الدمار في كل مكان. حاولت البقاء صامدًا في منزلي، ولكن بعد 45 يومًا من الصمود في حيي، محاطًا بعائلتي وجيراني، دُمرت منطقتنا وهُدمت منازلنا. هربنا من خلال الدخان والركام والدمار إلى وسط غزة (مجمع الشفاء)، لكننا لم نكن نعلم أن القصف والدمار سيستمران هناك أيضًا. فجأة، استأنف القصف في مجمع الشفاء، فهربت أنا وعائلتي من غزة إلى جنوب قطاع غزة (مدينة رفح). لجأنا إلى مدرسة شرق مدينة رفح. جلسنا في فصل دراسي، نواسي بعضنا البعض وقلوبنا مليئة بالحزن. رغم ذلك، وجدنا الفرح عندما ولدت زوجتي ابننا محمد، الذي انتظرناه لمدة 10 سنوات.

ومع ذلك، بعد خمسة أشهر من الصمود واستمرار الحرب، تم قصف مدينة رفح وتدميرها فجأة. هربنا من جنوب قطاع غزة إلى وسط قطاع غزة. الآن، نعيش في خيمة إيواء على شاطئ بحر مدينة النصيرات، نصلي من أجل انتهاء الحرب والدمار.
