California, Eaton Fire- Help Alan and Lexi rebuild
Donation protected
Woken up in the middle of the night by urgent alerts to evacuate immediately and the acrid smell of smoke, Lexi, Alan, Jay, and Leio fled the Eaton Fire with moments to spare with little more than the clothes they had on and their good health.
Their home, like many others in Altadena and the greater LA area, was reduced to little more than ashes. Gone are their many memories they've made in their first home: the garden planted in memory of their stillborn baby Kaia, the nursery they brought Leio home to, the many, many hours of sweat equity they put in to turn their house into their home, and all their possessions and mementos they've collected along the way. Ever the gracious hosts, Lexi and Alan provided a place to gather, to celebrate, to mourn, to lay low for their many friends and family.
We are heartbroken for their loss but in awe of their resolve and determination to persevere through this impossible time. No amount of money can ever get back what has been lost to the flames but we hope that this small start can help them start on the journey of building new memories and allow us all to help repay some of the untold kindness and generosity that Lexi, Alan, Jay, and Leio have shown to all those around them over the years.
