Hello and thank you for taking the time to read our plea for help. My name is Ahmed, and I am reaching out on behalf of my family, Ala Osama, who is facing profound hardships in the Gaza Strip. At just 24 years old, Ala’s resilience and hope amidst continual conflict and personal tragedy are nothing short of inspiring. Today, she needs our support more than ever.

Ala grew up in an area ravaged by years of war, where daily life involves overcoming challenges that many of us can hardly fathom. From securing basic necessities like water and electricity, which has been out since October 7, to maintaining personal safety—Ala and her family’s strength and unity shine through the relentless adversity.

The trials for Ala’s family intensified dramatically following a severe car accident involving her father, which left him unable to walk just a year before the latest escalation in the conflict. Despite undergoing complex surgery, his mobility was not fully restored, and he now requires constant care. This situation has placed an enormous emotional and financial strain on the family, altering their lives indelibly. Recently, these challenges have forced Ala and her family into an even more desperate situation—they are now living on the streets, trying to find safety and stability day by day.

Ala has since taken on the role of primary caregiver and provider. The war has compounded their difficulties, not least through its impact on Ala’s only brother, whose university was destroyed in the shelling. This devastating event has thrown his future, once filled with promise as an accounting student, into uncertainty.

Today, the family is at a crossroads, struggling with mounting medical costs for Ala’s father and searching for alternative educational paths for her brother. They need our help to navigate this incredibly challenging time. Any contribution, small or large, will go directly towards medical expenses, basic daily needs, and supporting educational opportunities for Ala’s brother, giving the family some stability and hope in these turbulent times.
