Help Alayna and Her Family Through This Devastating Time
My name is Poshia, and I am Alayna’s aunt. Alayna’s mother, Becky, is my sister. I recently moved to Tennessee, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Becky, her husband Tim, and their children, Alayna and Liem.

Our family is asking for help for 2-year-old Alayna, who is currently fighting for her life following a devastating flooding incident in Rush County, Indiana.

Alayna and her family are from Rush County, Indiana, where their home was affected by the severe storms and flooding that recently impacted the area. In the middle of this devastating situation, the family was also faced with a terrifying medical emergency involving their youngest child.

During the flooding, Alayna was at home with her mother, Becky, and her 13-year-old brother, Liem. Their home flooded, including the basement.

In the middle of this terrifying emergency, Alayna was found drowning in the flooded basement.

Liem, just 13 years old, called 911 and remained remarkably calm while getting help. While Liem was on the phone with emergency dispatchers, his mother, Becky, was performing CPR on Alayna.
Alayna’s father, Tim, was not home at the time of the incident.

Because the floodwaters surrounding the home were too deep for emergency responders to reach the family, a nearby farmer used his tractor to help emergency personnel get through the water and reach the house.

Alayna received emergency medical care and was ultimately airlifted to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, where she remains in the PICU.

Alayna is currently on a ventilator and fighting for her life.

We are holding tightly to every bit of hope. Thankfully, Alayna is showing signs of improvement, and so far, she has not experienced any seizure activity. We are incredibly grateful for every positive sign and are praying that she continues to make progress.

While Alayna is fighting for her life in Indianapolis, her family is also facing the devastating aftermath of the flood.

Their home has been flooded, and their normal lives have been completely disrupted.

Becky is a stay-at-home mom, and Tim is a union carpenter and the family’s sole provider. Right now, Tim needs to be at the hospital with Becky and their children as they fight alongside Alayna. Because of this, he is currently unable to focus on work and provide the family with their normal income.

At the same time, they are facing the costs associated with being away from home and caring for Alayna in Indianapolis, along with their household expenses and the damage caused by the flooding.

How the Funds Will Be Used
The goal of this fundraiser is to provide direct financial relief to Alayna and her immediate family during this crisis.
Funds raised will help with necessary expenses including:
• Gas, transportation, and travel expenses associated with Alayna’s hospitalization
• Food and other necessities while the family stays near the hospital
• Medical and family-related expenses associated with Alayna’s hospitalization
• Costs related to her emergency air transport
• Monthly household bills and other financial obligations that could otherwise go unpaid while Tim is unable to work
• Temporary living needs, if necessary
• Flood-related cleanup, recovery, and replacement of damaged or lost belongings
• Household necessities for the family
• Other essential expenses directly related to Alayna’s medical emergency and the family’s storm and flood recovery

Emergency air ambulance transport can be an especially significant expense. We don't yet know what the final financial impact of Alayna's hospitalization and emergency transport will be, but we want to make sure her family has some breathing room as they navigate the weeks ahead.

Every dollar raised will be used to help meet the needs of Alayna and her immediate family as they navigate this unimaginable situation.

We have increased our goal to $25,000 to help give Becky, Tim, Liem, and Alayna some financial stability during this incredibly difficult time.

This goal is not meant to cover every expense they may face. Rather, it is an effort to help ease some of the immediate financial pressure so that Becky and Tim can focus on what matters most right now: being there for Alayna and supporting their children.

They should not have to choose between being at their daughter’s bedside and worrying about how they are going to pay their bills, put food on the table, travel to the hospital, or begin recovering from the damage to their home.

Every donation, no matter the amount, can make a meaningful difference.

If you are unable to donate, there is absolutely no pressure. Sharing this fundraiser can be just as valuable. Please consider sharing Alayna’s story and helping us reach people who may be able to help.

Most importantly, please keep Alayna, Becky, Tim, and Liem in your thoughts and prayers.

Please pray for Alayna as she continues to fight in the PICU, for Becky as she sits beside her little girl, for Tim as he stands beside his family during an unimaginable time, and please pray for Liem—the 13-year-old brother who remained calm, called 911, and helped get his little sister the help she desperately needed.

Our family is incredibly grateful for everyone who came to their aid that night, including the nearby farmer who used his tractor to help emergency personnel reach the family, the first responders who fought through the floodwaters, and the medical team caring for Alayna.

We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who takes the time to read Alayna’s story, donate, share, pray, or simply keep this family in their thoughts.

Right now, Alayna is fighting.
And her family is fighting right alongside her.

Please help us give them the support they need to keep fighting with her.
❤️ Keep fighting, Alayna. We love you.
