Help Albert C. Karm II Overcome Cardiac Issues

Hello, I'm Albert C. Karm II. I have busted my rump for all my life, and did the best I could for my family. I was blessed and introduced into the Oil and Gas Industry in 1997. Worked the rigs here in South Texas, then was blessed again to go over seas. Long story short, I have done my best to take care of my children, their mothers, and my sisters. Actually anyone I felt genuinely that needed help I did. Unfortunately I have to ask for help myself now. I don't deserve any hand outs by any means. I am working at Walmart Auto Care Center, but had to take a Leave of Absence for some Cardiac issues. I would appreciate any help you can provide for me. My medical debt is going to exceed $6000.00 dollars soon. I have not been paid since the middle of May, waiting for short term disability to start.

My options forward look like open heart surgery, or aortic valve replacement through the groin. The Cleveland Clinic has offered to look at my case and pay 100% of everything because of my insurance with Walmart if they feel I qualify. So I just need help to ensure my family and bills will be taken care of as I go through this.

June 15, 2024 Update:

Hello everyone. I want to thank everyone that has contributed to my cause. I truly appreciate your kindness. I know times are tough for everyone, it is hard to have any money to spare.

I wanted to post an update on the progress of my situation. On Thursday June 13th my cardiac surgeon informed me that they will have to open me up, stop my heart and replace the faulty valve that is causing all my health issues. We have it scheduled for the 27th of June.

I have already begun using your kind donations paying off some of my medical bills, which is a big relief. I am so humbled by everyone's generosity and truly blessed to have family and friends support.

I also found out yesterday that I am not eligible for short term disability till October of this year. So I will not be paid for my leave of absence from work which has been extended to July 31st 2024. I am reaching out for other options that Walmart has in place for some extra assistance.

June 22nd update.

The Cleveland Clinic approved me to go up there for a valve replacement through the groin. Which my surgeon says is risky due to liver damage, if they go through the groin I would have to be on a blood thinner the rest of my life. Which would interfere with meds they prescribe to treat the liver. I also have stage 3 kidney disease, Which they think will improve with the new valve.

So the plan forward is doing pre-testing on Monday the 24th of June. Which I have to be admitted as an outpatient for that day. Then Open Heart Surgery on Thursday the 27th of June.

I was hoping to see 59th, my Mother died at 58. I have a phobia of dying at her age because I take after my Mother in everyway!

They will be hooking me up to a Heart Lung Machine when they split my chest open and Stop My Heart, 3 days before my 59th Birthday. I know I won't "technically be dead" but my Heart won't be beating.

For those of you who believe in prayer, I ask to say one for me. I am not particularly religious by any means, I "identify as Agnostic" but not whole heartily. God's will be done.

I know times are tight and GoFundMe charges a fee to donate, but any little bit helps. I ask if you anything to spare, no matter the amount, please give. I need a miracle right now!
