Help Albert Petunia's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Our sweet little pup, Albert Petunia, was attacked by two unattended and unleashed dogs while I was walking him on the morning of Friday, June 28. They surrounded us and aggressively cornered Albert and one of the dogs bit him multiple times as I screamed for help. I was able to push the dog off of him and take shelter inside a nearby house, but Albert sustained multiple bite wounds and needed emergency surgery.
The best news is that he is a strong little pup and the vet said he was incredibly lucky given his size. It could have been much, much worse and for that we are so grateful.
The bad news is that his recovery requires ongoing care, and this incident has saddled us with more than 5k in emergency veterinary care. If you feel motivated to contribute even a little to Albert's Recovery Fund, we would be grateful and honored.
Please note, we are taking legal action against the owners of the dogs, and hope to eventually be compensated. Not sure if this will happen or when, but if we do get adequately compensated, we'll donate these funds to the Sullivan County SPCA, where we got our Albert.
