Hello, I'm Michelle Berglund, the Production Manager at SOAR Regional Arts, where Alex has been an invaluable Stage Manager for all our productions this year. On June 11th, Alex woke up to a devastating reality: his left leg was paralyzed. Rushed to the hospital, he underwent emergency surgery. He has severe nerve damage and developed dangerous blood clots.

Alex has been hospitalized for three weeks now, grappling with unpredictable complications. His recovery journey involves ongoing treatment to manage the blood clots, investigate nerve damage, and alleviate his pain. Physical therapy offers hope for restoring function in his left leg, but Alex faces a long road ahead.
