Help Alex Hall Rebuild His Life After A Devastating Stroke
Donation protected
We are seeking to raise funds to help our friend, Alex Hall. The past several years have not been kind to Alex. He lost his job, was unemployed for more than a year, and then endured a painful divorce. On July 22, 2024, Alex, who is only 37, suffered a massive stroke while at home. He lived alone at the time and 30 hours passed before he was found. That delay resulted in partial paralysis to his right side, particularly his lower arm and hand which remain immobile, and aphasia which has severely affected his speech and ability to process written language. He can’t live independently now and is being cared for by his parents in their home. Alex is presently undergoing physical, speech and occupational therapy. His progress is slow and his prognosis is uncertain. While Alex has health and short term disability insurance through his current employer, he will not be able to maintain his health insurance benefits if he cannot return to work and his short term disability benefits will end soon. He will also need monetary assistance for his medical deductibles and copays, the expenses associated with remaking his life as an independent adult - if and when he can do so - and financial support for his two boys, ages 5 and 7, who he cherishes. Alex is a very decent and kind person, a loving father, and a good friend to many. He needs our help now. Please give what you can and we sincerely thank you for any support that you can offer.
