UPDATE:
We have received an informal estimated discharge date for Alex from the hospital in Estonia. While we expect him to be discharged in the coming days, we are still awaiting clearance for Alex to be fit to fly, with the exact timeline yet to be confirmed. Alex’s father is currently traveling to Estonia to assist with his repatriation. We are still awaiting further information on the ongoing care plan and rehabilitation.
We want to thank everyone for their incredible generosity and contributions, which are making this possible. Your support is greatly appreciated.
UPDATE:
Alex has made improvements but remains in the ICU. We are focussed on his ongoing care and support and will be taking things day by day. All of your encouragement and generous support towards his recovery are so appreciated.

We are incredibly grateful for your generous donations. Your kindness and support mean the world to us during this challenging time.
UPDATE:
We are pleased to share that Alex is currently stable and continues to be monitored closely in the ICU in the local hospital in Estonia. While he is still being monitored for the extent of his injuries, your contribution has provided us with hope and the means to ensure the best possible care. The prognosis for his recovery is positive.

Alex Hiam, a dedicated 29-year-old BMX rider, has always poured his heart into the sport he loves.
Whether competing or coaching, he shares the joy and escape BMX offers. Recently, while competing in Estonia, Alex suffered a serious injury, leaving him in intensive care, far from home.
Once the doctors have cleared Alex and will allow us, we would like to get a family member or friend to assist him with returning to Australia.
We’re asking for your support to cover his medical expenses, accommodation in Estonia, and the costs to bring a family member from Australia to be with him.
Let’s ensure Alex doesn’t face this challenge alone. Please donate and share widely—every contribution helps in his healing journey.
