Help Alex regain his ID and seek justice of IBLP

Hi, my name is Pamela Shepperd. I am a friend of Alex Cave. I met Alex at an IBLP facility in Indianapolis run by Bill Gothard. Alex spent over 5 years at this facility from the ages of 8 to 13. I am fundraising on behalf of Alex to help him recover his identification and to help him pursue justice for his time with IBLP under Bill Gothard. Below is a summary of Alex’s story which is shared on my brother’s podcast.

 Alex at the age of five was taken from an orphanage in Russia and sold into adoption to a family in the United States. This family was deeply involved in the IBLP organization. Unfortunately, the family that adopted Alex may or may not have known what was going on but they threw away all the documents regarding the adoption, including his birth certificate. In order to get a new ID, update his driver’s license or just the basic needs of getting health insurance, he is unable to do so without the proper documents to prove US citizenship. Alex must procure the proper documentation in order to get back on his feet. This also includes fees owed previously to the state in order to clear up past due amounts owed.

 Alex is also seeking to retain an attorney to pursue legal actions against IBLP, Bill Gothard and others regarding his time at all IBLP facilities. Alex has stated accusations against Bill Gothard and other leaders at these facilities of physical and sexual abuse. He is seeking justice and hopes that others will come forward and tell their truth as well.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to cover the fees Alex needs to pay for the below documents and retain an attorney to take on his case against IBLP. We hope you join us in our attempts to have IBLP’s victims’ voices heard!
