Alexandra's story:
My dearest Mom - Alexandra Murphy - was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer just before Christmas 2016. She has two daughters and three young grandchildren who adore their Nana. She has embraced her role as a warrior fighting triple negative breast cancer. She had a mastectomy on 2/6/17 and will continue to need extensive treatment. This is a very difficult cancer to treat and requires us pursuing treatments not covered by her limited insurance.
Why she needs your help:
Alexandra has an extremely limited income from social security and lives alone in her native Pennsylvania. My husband and I have invited her to live with us at our home in California so we can take care of her and get her to her treatments. Her copays for the surgeries as well as daunting future medical costs and the cost of moving across the country have caused us to look for help from our community of friends. For anyone who knows Alexandra, she is a loving, goofy, intelligent and fun mother and grandmother. Please consider helping. Every bit helps us secure her the best future we can.
