Help Alexandra Rebuild After Devastating Fire

My name is Phoenix, and I'm raising money for my girlfriend, Alexandra. On June 12th, her world turned upside down when a wire arced in the attic and caught the insulation on fire in her house. Fortunately, I was home when it happened and called 911. I was able to evacuate Alexandra's two cats and two dogs safely. The firefighters arrived quickly and kept the fire contained to the attic.

While she was relieved the fire was contained, the resulting water damage was extensive. Everything in the house was soaked, from furniture and cherished belongings, to the foundation of the house. Ceilings and walls disintegrated to the floor. To make matters worse, EPA testing revealed the presence of asbestos throughout the house, a hazardous material requiring complete professional removal and disposal. This meant Alexandra couldn't even salvage sentimental items or family heirlooms. She was left only with the clothes on her back and the lives of her pets.

In a single day, she lost everything she owned and the home she loved. Right now she's staying in a hotel but the uncertainty of finding long-term housing while the house undergoes a complete rebuild (estimated 9-15 months) is a major source of stress. The entire process will involve asbestos abatement, gutting the house, and a complete rebuild of the entire structure.

This GoFundMe campaign aims to help Alexandra bridge the gaps in her insurance coverage and provide much-needed support as she rebuilds her entire life. The funds from this GoFundMe will go towards food and immediate needs including essential items like clothing and toiletries, pet supplies, medical bills, and ultimately starting her life over.

This fire comes on top of an already difficult year for her. She's faced setbacks with her schooling before, having to pause twice - once when her marriage ended and the second time due to health problems. Finally ready to resume her studies towards her dream of becoming a mental health therapist, this fire forces yet another pause and significant financial barriers.

Adding to the stress, Alexandra has battled multiple health issues this year, including a surgery ending in complications that required a second procedure only days before the fire. She has suffered through a serious concussion, covid, painful reproductive issues, and was diagnosed with a brain tumor, later discovered to be benign, all in the last few months.

Her two dogs and two cats are a major source of joy but her current living situation prevents her from being reunited with her entire furry family. This gofundme will also assist her in finding a more permanent living situation where her furry family can be reunited.
