Hi, my name is Alexei Orohovsky. I have the goal of becoming a professional ballet dancer. I have been selected as one of 81 dancers from around the world to represent the United States in the prestigious Helsinki International Ballet Competition in Helsinki, Finland, May 30-Jun 6. Over 20 different nationalities of dancers applied to be accepted, and 40 dancers in the junior division (ages 15-19) and 41 dancers in the senior division (ages 20-24) were selected to compete. This competition is like the Olympics of ballet, happening only once every four years. I am so incredibly honored to have been selected and given this opportunity. The cost to compete is expensive, and I will need new choreography, costumes, and flights in order to compete. I would be so grateful if you would consider sponsoring me in this competition. This will help open so many doors for me for my future and is truly a once in a lifetime oppertunity. Thank you for your consideration! After Helsinki, I will be training full time at the TaZ academy in Zurich Switzerland and studying over the summer in Germany and Monaco. All funds will go towards helping me reach my goal of becoming a professional dancer in a major ballet company.
