Help Alexis and Family Through Tough Times

I am Dr. Alexis Mobley, a scientist and community leader that continues to advocate for scientific communication and marginalized communities.

After spending 12 additional years in higher education studying life sciences, I landed my first temporary position at Johnson and Johnson. After what I thought were two successful years, there were no permanent positions available and my employment came to an end. I have been searching for a job for over a year and a half, being unemployed for 10 months of that, and tried to postpone fundraising as long as I could. However, with my most recent job prospect also falling through, I have to pivot.

I'm calling on my community to help keep my family housed, fed, and imitating some semblance of thriving as I continue to navigate this tumultuous job market. I have set an adjustable goal to help my mental health and hopefully better reflect what I need from moment to moment. This will also keep my stress levels down so my autoimmune condition doesn't preclude me from searching for or receiving work opportunities.
