Hello, my name is Stacie and I’m writing on behalf of Alexis Way Green. Alexis went in for a tubal ligation February 17. Within in 24hrs her body began shutting down. She was rushed to her local hospital where they found that during the surgery her small intestine had been compromised. The Dr had burned a hole through her intestines.. For 24 hrs her intestines had been leaking into her body. They put her on antibiotics and rushed her into surgery to repair the intestines. She was then in the hospital for about 10 days. She was sent home and within a week she was back in the hospital, her abdomen had for abscesses. She was transferred to Hamot. They found out she had two blood clots, one in each lung. The abscesses had grown. She was not at that point a candidate for surgery after 10 more days of antibiotics with the abscesses not shrinking they went in through radiology and put a drain tube in her abdomen. They wanted to stay away from another surgery. The antibiotics were Not strong enough to get to the abscesses so they had no other option but to perform another surgery. They went back and drained her abdomen and cleaned scar tissue. That was yesterday. Today they had to move her to the respiratory floor because her right lung filled back with fluid. They drained that lung today. The doctors have said they cannot promise this will be her last surgery. She will be in the hospital for several more weeks. Once her abdomen is clear of infection they will remove the drains and she will have a wound packing on all 3 of the holes in her body and she will have to heal from the inside out which typically takes 2-3 months. The next 24 hours are very critical for her lungs to start responding. She will have to be on blood thinners for 3 months to hopefully dissolve the blood clots in her lungs. Long road to recovery and she is not out of the woods yet. With other issues going on that we are not yet aware of. Please help this poor girl and her family, if not with money then we will take all the prayersAlexis went in for a tubal ligation February 17. Within in 24hrs you body began shutting down. Alexis is the kindest person I know. A very loved cousin, friend, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She has never asked for a thing in life other than to have a beautiful blessed family. She wouldn’t hesitate to give you the shirt off her back! Her sweet personality and love for people is like no other. Please help Alexis and her family in any way possible to help with her medical expenses and loss of work as she still has a long road ahead of her. We will even take your prayers! Thank You ❤️
