In Loving Memory of Alexis Marie Haney Rosales
Alexis Marie Haney Rosales, affectionately known as Lex, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, at the age of 27, after a courageous battle with AML leukemia. Born on August 9, 1997, in Dallas, Texas, Alexis grew up in New Braunfels, where she graduated from New Braunfels High School in 2015. She later attended St. Philip’s College in San Antonio and thrived in her career as a personal insurance agent, serving her clients with dedication and care.

Alexis was the embodiment of strength, loyalty, and love. As a devoted big sister, cherished daughter, and steadfast friend, she made everyone in her life feel fiercely valued. Those fortunate enough to be part of her “Tribe” experienced the unparalleled depth of her compassion, bravery, and unwavering support. She faced life’s challenges with an infectious smile, boundless optimism, and an unshakable faith in the future. Her deep faith in God was a guiding light through the trials she faced, and she found peace in trusting His plan for her life.

Preceded in death by her beloved aunt Kimberly (Kimmy) Haney Chepey, her grandparents Laura and Ruben Hernandez, and great-grandparents Ruby and Edwin Haney and Epifania and Roberto Palomo, Alexis is now reunited with them in eternal peace, embraced in God’s love.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, survived by her parents, Danette and Robert Hernandez; her brothers, Ethan and Gavin Hernandez; her life partner, Diego Acosta; her maternal grandparents, Rose and Mike McKinney; her paternal grandparents, Ruth and Danny Haney; Uncle John Paul Lara, her cherished dog, Hank Hernandez; as well as numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends.

Alexis was a true warrior—determined and steadfast even in the face of the most daunting battles. While pursuing her nursing degree and working full-time, she carried herself with remarkable strength and hope, never allowing her circumstances to diminish her dreams. She lived a life that reflected God’s grace, leaving behind a testimony of faith, perseverance, and love that will forever inspire those she touched.

UPDATE - 11/10/24

We are deeply touched with gratitude for each and every one of you who has donated, shared, and lifted up prayers for Alexis during this challenging time. Your unwavering support is a testament to the power of faith and community.

For over three weeks, Alexis has been in the hospital, enduring intensive care and high-dose chemotherapy that has taken a very heavy toll on her body, yet her spirit remains steadfast in faith. We now wait and pray that this challenging treatment has reduced enough of the cancer for her to become a candidate for a bone marrow transplant—a miracle we are wholeheartedly seeking.

We humbly ask for your continued prayers and support as we navigate this difficult path. Please keep Alexis and our family in your prayers, asking the Lord to continue giving her strength, healing, and granting her the miracle we so desperately need. Every donation, no matter the size, goes a long way in covering the substantial costs of her leukemia treatment. Sharing her GoFundMe page within your circles is another powerful way to support her healing journey.

By God’s grace, Alexis is being carried through this journey with courage and resilience. We believe that with His divine intervention and your continued support, we can overcome this battle. As Philippians 4:13 reminds us, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” Alexis draws her strength from her unwavering faith and the love surrounding her.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with Alexis and our family. We are deeply grateful for your continued prayers, support, and generosity. We trust in God’s plan and hold onto hope, knowing that He is watching over Alexis every step of the way.

May God bless each of you abundantly for your kindness and generosity.

Help Alexis Rosales Fight Leukemia

We come to you with humble hearts, seeking your support and prayers for our cherished Alexis Rosales, who has recently been diagnosed with leukemia. This battle is not one she faces alone; it is shared by her entire family, community, and all of us who love her. Alexis has started the challenging journey of chemotherapy, a treatment that presents many difficulties. She will remain in the hospital until her doctor believes it is safe for her to return home. During her chemotherapy, she will only be allowed a few approved visitors, which for anyone, would be difficult. However, by God’s grace, this treatment offers a chance for healing.

A Faithful Heart and Unyielding Spirit

Alexis is a bright light in our lives—a young woman filled with faith, strength, and resilience. During this challenging season, she relies deeply on her faith, trusting that God is guiding her. The road ahead may be long, but she faces each treatment with courage and hope. Her family also seeks strength from God, while grappling with the significant financial burden of her medical care.

How You Can Help

As Alexis walks through this journey, her family faces mounting expenses from medical bills and specialized care as her treatment requires a lengthy hospital stay. Every dollar raised will help relieve some of the financial pressure on her family and allow them to focus on being there for Alexis. Your support, no matter how big or small, will be an absolute blessing to them.

Stand with Alexis in Faith and Prayer

Your support and prayers mean the world to Alexis and her family. This journey is a reminder of God’s promise in Isaiah 41:10: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” By coming together, whether through donations, words of encouragement, or simply sharing this story, you remind Alexis that she is surrounded by God’s love and the love of her community.

Together, let’s lift up Alexis and her family as they face this difficult journey. Thank you for being a part of their community, for standing with them in faith, and for helping bring hope to Alexis’s path to healing.
