Help Alexis Silvestre Save His Vision

Hi guys, I'm Alexis Silvestre, most of you know me as that one actor guy from that one thing...

If you didn't already know, I am blind in my left eye. I was poked while playing basketball at the age of 14 and it caused a retinal detachment. I underwent 4 surgeries in my left eye to try to reattach the retina and correct my vision, but all of the surgeries were unsuccessful. Therefore, I cannot see out of my left eye.

Fast forward 15 years later, I am unfortunately experiencing a retinal detachment in my right eye. This was not due to a traumatic injury to the eye, but rather a gradual detachment. For obvious reasons, I was devastated being that the first four surgeries in the left eye did not work. After months and weeks of back and forth with my insurance company, I decided to seek out a specialist on my own terms. After my initial examination with Dr Murthy in South Pasadena, he urged me to go into surgery the next morning due to the severity and time-sensitive nature of my case. I underwent surgery on Friday, December 27, 2024 and since then have been blind in both eyes during my recovery process.

By choosing to have surgery with Dr. Murthy, we hope we were able to save what's left of my vision, even though there was no financial assistance from my insurance company. I am eternally grateful to anyone who chooses to donate and help me pay for this life-changing procedure. I will keep you all updated on my progress via instagram and/or TikTok.

Any donations exceeding the $10,000 goal, will be donated to Dr. Murthy's office for other patient's with stories like mine.
