#TeamAlfie - Fighting Childhood Lymphoma
Donation protected

On 23rd December, Alfie was diagnosed with Diffuse large B Cell Lymphoma.
In this very short time, Alfie has lost alot of weight and is unable to move in bed on his own and needs physio to help sit him up and can only stand for a few seconds.
He is currently on his first round of intense chemotherapy, having already had an operation to have a biopsy taken via lumber puncture, a Hickman line put in (wiggles) and bone marrow taken,
Alfie is now due another lumbar puncture and chemo to be put in his spine to stop this horrible disease spreading to his brain.
Alfie and his Family have a long battle ahead of them, and will fight hard to beat this. We are all praying they can win.
Alfie’s family are completely heartbroken, their lives have been shattered. His 11 year old Sister, Katie is finding it very hard being away from her parents and little brother.
We are trying to raise money to help relieve some of the financial strain for Sarah and Steven as they fight this battle with Alfie. The money raised is helping them with travel costs, paying bills and taking time off work to be with Alfie day and night. Sarah has not come home since the day Alfie was taken into hospital and Steven has only managed a few brief visits home to see their 11 year old Daughter, Katie who is currently staying with a Grandparent.
The Family are being supported by a wonderful charity called CLIC SARGENT who help families going through cancer treatment. They have provided Sarah and Steven with accommodation near the hospital called Billy’s House. This also means that their Daughter can come and stay at the weekend. As well as fundraising for CLIC SARGENT, the family would like to be able to help the ward Alfie is staying on, E39 at Nottingham hospital. The staff work tirelessly and are real superheroes in disguise!
If you are able to spare some change, no matter how small, it would go a long way in helping Alfie’s family, CLIC SERGENT and Ward E39.
Thank you,
Team Alfie
